Ten steps, ten checks. Here the roof goes on just before finishing so you can see inside; on site, it comes earlier.

Permits and rules
A garage or annex needs a permit, with siting rules: distance from the property lines, height, floor area. An attached garage must be separated from the house by a gas-tight wall. We check your city's requirements and prepare the application.
Frequently asked questions
Attached or detached garage?
An attached garage gives direct access to the house but requires a gas-tight separation; a detached one is easier to site. We advise you based on your lot and use.
How long does construction take?
2 to 3 weeks on site once the permit is issued. The permit timeline varies by municipality.
Can it be a heated workshop?
Yes. We adapt insulation, heating, electrical and ventilation to the intended use, within what the city allows.
What if you find a problem once things are open?
We stop the work, show you what we found and price the fix at cost, with no margin, from the amount set aside with you for surprises. We resume once you say yes.
Let's talk about your project.
A visit, measurements, then a detailed budget. If the budget does not allow the work to be done properly, we will tell you at the first meeting.
